The Pro-Ject Stream Box S2 expands any existing system with modern and future-proof network streaming functions. It enables completely new application scenarios and offers an amazingly mature sound performance.

Stream Box S2: The intelligent addition

The Stream Box S2 is the most affordable Pro-Ject streamer to date. While the current market is flooded with wireless streamers, most manufacturers focus on a good app, forgetting that sound quality depends on the onboard DAC and analog output stage. Pro-Ject produces some of the best high-end micro amplifiers currently available on the market - for example the Pro-Ject Stereo Box S2, the Pro-Ject Stereo Box S2 BT or the Pro-Ject MaiA S2, and the Stream Box S2 offers the sound quality of the mentioned amplifiers. It is very easy to use via the app and offers all the functions you would expect from a modern streamer. The multiroom function makes it possible to link several Stream Box S2 with each other and thus supply several rooms with high-resolution music with data rates of up to 24bit/192kHz. In addition, two devices can also be used as a stereo pair (one device each for the left and right channel).

Most other multi-room devices that allow multiple zones reduce the audio quality to MP3 format - at most. With the Pro-Ject Stream Box S2, on the other hand, multi-room streaming is carried out with CD quality (16bit/44.1kHz). Due to this high transmission quality, large amounts of data are generated, which is why the zones are limited to 10 (LAN) or 6 (WLAN) in order to guarantee uninterrupted transmission.

Stream Box S2: feature richness

Three different outputs allow flexible integration of the Pro-Ject Stream Box S2 into different system configurations. A fixed line-level cinch output can be connected to a preamplifier and a volume-adjustable 3.5mm jack output can be connected to active loudspeakers, for example, or directly to a power amplifier such as the Pro-Ject Amp Box S2. An external D/A converter can also be supplied with the optical digital output. The Pro-Ject Stream Box S2 supports a variety of music services such as Spotify, Tidal, TuneIn and more. The specially developed app "Pro-Ject Stream S2" allows convenient and easy control of the device from a smartphone or tablet (iOS and Android).
