This two-way loudspeaker takes our compact speaker designs to a new level of performance, delivering the true musicality that characterizes Lyngdorf Audio. The focus on dynamic performance resulted in a sealed cabinet design with a large passive unit that suppresses the internal resonance frequency and enables deep bass from this sleek, low-profile enclosure.

Designed for wall mounting, the FR-1 is compact and solid, emphasizing the focus on dynamic music reproduction without sacrificing natural timbre. The cabinet depth has been minimized to ensure discreet placement and keep the drivers as close to the wall as possible for optimal coupling to the room.

Plays excellently even without a subwoofer

With the new powerful 6.5" driver and the additional power of the passive unit, the FR-1 requires no subwoofer support. The driver is equipped with a powerful magnet, and together with the supporting 8" passive unit, the low-frequency performance is unmatched in such a small enclosure. Vocals are exceptionally open, and the transients are tight and clean, making the FR-1 the optimal choice for a stylish home media installation.

If you want to boost performance even further, a set of Lyngdorf BW-2 woofers is the perfect addition. This will give you even deeper bass and increased overall performance.

Designed with an impressive soundstage
The speaker cones are made of lightweight yet rigid aluminum and feature a single, clearly defined weak point, which can be easily counteracted by the internal filters. The textile dome tweeter from the Lyngdorf MH-2 has been redesigned to accommodate the increased power and delivers high sensitivity and an impressive soundstage.
