Inside the L75i is a sophisticated hybrid speaker system that deliberately combines the advantages of various driver technologies. High-frequency reproduction is handled by a 48-inch (121.92 cm) planar magnet line-source driver, covering everything above 275 Hz. The bass range is provided by four powerful high-pressure woofers, specially developed for the Sage series.

This combination guarantees impressively realistic, high-resolution, and dynamically accurate reproduction – even at high volumes. The L75i impresses with fine detail, clear speech reproduction, and excellent bass reproduction, whether playing quiet background music or loud movie sound.

Benefits of true line-source design

A particularly noteworthy feature of the Sage L75i is its true line-source concept. Unlike point source speakers, this technology enables even sound distribution over long distances. This offers several acoustic advantages: Floor and ceiling reflections are reduced, significantly increasing clarity and speech intelligibility. Furthermore, the line-source principle ensures consistent volume across the entire listening area—ideal for rooms with multiple rows of seats or challenging acoustics.

The planar magnetic drivers consist of two 24-inch (60.96 cm) elements that together form a 48-inch line-source system. Using ultra-light PEEK (polyetheretherketone) film, these drivers are characterized by extremely fast acceleration and low mass. The result is exceptionally detailed and low-distortion audio reproduction, which is particularly noticeable with vocals, instruments, or cinematic sound effects.

Technical requirements and system integration

The Wisdom Sage L75i is a full-featured high-end loudspeaker with a wide frequency response. To achieve its full potential, it requires an external active crossover system with DSP support. Wisdom recommends using the SC-2 or SC-3 System Controller. Two-channel amplification per speaker is also required for operation.
