Features: 3-way principle

With a 3-way loudspeaker, three different loudspeaker chassis share the playback spectrum: one or more woofers, a midrange speaker and a tweeter. The separation of the bass and midrange ranges usually occurs between 150 Hz - 300 Hz, the crossover frequency from the midrange to the tweeter chassis is usually between 2000 Hz and 3000 Hz.

HHCT III – Hyper Holographic Cone Tweeter

The HHCT-III tweeter combines several AUDIO PHYSIC core technologies to ensure absolutely pure and enormously spatial music reproduction.

Push-push arrangement

In some of the 3-way and 3 1 / 2 -way speakers they use two side-mounted woofers, each working in opposite directions so that the resulting forces cancel each other out.

Dual basket design

The unique double basket design suppresses unwanted vibrations where they arise: in the chassis.

Ceramic Foam Bracing

Ceramic foam is a high-tech material that is used in many loudspeakers to stiffen the housing. It is significantly more stable than MDF, but consists of 85% air. This increases the effective working volume of the loudspeaker for the same housing size.

Active Cone Damping

ACTIVE CONE DAMPING is a form of resonance suppression in metal membranes that was first implemented by AUDIO PHYSIC.

Aluminium phase plug

All AUDIO PHYSIC midrange speakers have an aluminum phase plug that is rigidly connected to the magnet system. This complex construction offers several advantages.

Bi-wiring/bi-amping optional

Most AUDIO PHYSIC loudspeakers are supplied with a high-quality single-wiring terminal as standard to avoid unnecessary metal and cable bridges during normal operation. When ordering new loudspeakers, a bi-wiring/bi-amping terminal is available as an extra in most cases; subsequent conversion is only possible on request.

CCAC – Ceramic Coated Aluminium Cone

By coating an aluminum cone membrane with a special ceramic, an extremely light and torsion-resistant loudspeaker membrane is created which, in conjunction with the ACTIVE CONE DAMPING technology, is practically immune to disruptive partial vibrations.

VCF – Vibration Control Feet optional

The high-end VCF speaker feet protect sensitive floors and offer a simple but amazingly effective sound improvement for speakers from AUDIO PHYSIC and other manufacturers, HiFi components of all kinds and even cables.

VCT – Vibration Control Terminal

Unwanted vibrations disrupt the unadulterated signal flow at every point in the transmission chain. Since AUDIO PHYSIC has declared war on all forms of sound-damaging vibrations and resonances, the VIBRATION CONTROL TERMINAL (VCT) was developed, which is carefully decoupled from the housing.

With the spider-less midrange driver and the newly developed crossover, the Tempo can now proudly count itself as a member of the Audio Physic PowerTrain family.
