The REL HT/1205 MKII , also known as The Cannon, combines sophisticated design with powerful performance and is aimed at home cinema enthusiasts who value precision, dynamics and high volume.

The HT/1205 MKII is equipped with a newly developed 12-inch (300 mm) CarbonGlas™ driver , which is powered by a powerful 500 W Class D amplifier . This combination enables 50% more volume than the previous model , while maintaining precision and subtlety. Thanks to specially adapted home theater filters, the subwoofer plays with exceptional clarity and delivers deep bass down to the 20 Hz range.

The housing of the HT/1205 MKII has been carefully optimized to be both visually and acoustically impressive. The high-quality, black structured surface and the hand-polished piano lacquer top give it an elegant look. The housing is not only a visual eye-catcher, but its robust construction also helps to reduce unwanted vibrations.

Maximum performance thanks to optimized components

All components of the CarbonGlas™ driver have been reinforced to ensure maximum efficiency. The combination of a glass fiber cone and a real carbon fiber center creates a lightweight but extremely strong membrane. Larger magnets and an improved suspension enable extreme output levels while maintaining control and precision.

Powerful amplifier for cinema and music enjoyment

The Class D amplifier of the HT/1205 MKII is based on a specially developed high-performance MOSFET circuit that is designed for high load capacity. With 800 W peak power, the amplifier works efficiently and produces impressive sound dynamics. In addition to home cinema use, the subwoofer also impresses with a powerful, voluminous sound when playing music.

Innovative PerfectFilters™ technology

REL uses highly developed PerfectFilters™ in its subwoofers, which enable precise bass reproduction. These specially tuned analog filters ensure linear deep bass reproduction , reduce distortion and improve the sound quality of explosions and low frequencies. An integrated subsonic filter from 8 Hz eliminates unwanted infrasound noises that could have a negative effect on the reproduction.

Wireless freedom with HT-Air™

The HT/1205 MKII can be operated wirelessly with the optional HT-Air™ system . The system uses a 5.8 GHz wireless connection with a range of up to 18 meters and transmits the signal without digital compression . This means that the sound quality remains unadulterated - perfect for a flexible home theater setup.

Ideal for home theater setups

The HT/1205 MKII is ideal as a complement to existing REL subwoofers from the Reference, S and T/i series . It specifically amplifies the .1/LFE channel and provides powerful, cinema-quality special effects. In combination with other REL models, it can be used in large 3D home cinema setups .
