Yamaha RX300A 5.2-Channel Home Theater AV Receiver

The Yamaha RX300A offers the essential features for a modern home theater in a versatile 5.2-channel AV receiver. Dolby Atmos and DTS enable immersive sound reproduction, while HDMI 2.1 supports current video sources with 8K/60 Hz and 4K/120 Hz. It also features modern HDR formats, Bluetooth multipoint connectivity, and automatic room correction.

Immersive 5.2 channel surround sound

With five power amplifiers and support for up to 5.1-channel decoding, the RX300A forms the basis for flexible home theater configurations. Dolby Atmos enables three-dimensional sound reproduction with height effects. Depending on the room and speaker configuration, various Atmos setups are possible, including ceiling speakers, up-firing modules, and virtual height effects.

The output power is 2 × 70 watts into 8 ohms at 20 Hz to 20 kHz and 0.09% THD. In single-channel operation, the receiver achieves up to 145 watts into 6 ohms. The RX300A is also suitable for bi-amping.

HDMI 2.1 for 4K/120 and 8K/60

Four HDMI inputs and one HDMI output support HDMI 2.1 and process video signals up to 8K/60 Hz or 4K/120 Hz. Features such as VRR, ALLM, and QMS are available for gaming. HDMI eARC and ARC enable the transmission of TV audio via a single HDMI cable.

The RX300A supports HDR, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and Hybrid Log-Gamma formats. This makes it suitable for current televisions, streaming players, game consoles, and Blu-ray players.

Room correction for the listening room

The included calibration microphone analyzes the acoustic properties of the room and the connected speakers. The integrated room correction automatically adjusts the playback to the specific listening environment.

Additional features such as Dialogue Level, Subwoofer Trim, Extra Bass and Lip Sync allow for individual adjustment of the sound to different content and listening situations.

Bluetooth Multipoint

The RX300A features Bluetooth 5.3 with multipoint support. This allows two Bluetooth devices to be paired simultaneously, enabling switching between a smartphone, tablet, or notebook, for example.

The RX300A does not have integrated network or Wi-Fi functionality. Bluetooth is available for wireless playback.

Versatile connections

In addition to the four HDMI inputs, there are two analog RCA inputs as well as one optical and one coaxial digital input. Compatible audio files can be played back from mass storage devices and firmware updates can be performed via the USB port.

The receiver features five speaker outputs and two subwoofer pre-outs for connecting up to two active subwoofers. A headphone output completes the package.

Sound modes for different content

With Pure Direct, Straight, Movie, Music, Stereo, and other sound modes, playback can be tailored to the specific content and personal preferences. Night mode reduces the dynamic range for a more subdued listening experience at low volumes, while Pure Direct enables the most faithful signal processing possible.

Scene keys for direct access

The Scene function allows you to save up to four individual presets. Input and desired sound settings can be assigned to a Scene and then recalled directly via the remote control or the device itself.

Stable construction

The RX300A features Yamaha's Anti-Resonance Technology (ART) Wedge. This additional, centrally positioned stand complements the four outer feet and helps reduce vibrations. The arrangement of components and signal paths has also been designed for stable audio and video processing.
