The Amplitude16 was developed for immersive home theaters and with the resulting requirements on the system integrator in focus. It offers integrators the unique opportunity to use large numbers of channels
meet different power requirements with exceptional rack efficiency and is perhaps the most versatile power amplifier available today.
Two 8-channel amplifiers are effectively available in the Amplitude16 in a single 3U chassis, which are supplied via 2 power packs, each with a 15 A alternating current connection. The default configuration is a 16-channel power amplifier with a continuous output of 200W / channel at 8 ohms and 400W / channel at 4 ohms *.
In addition, the Amplitude16 offers the possibility of bridging amplifier channels in order to increase the available power for certain outputs. This enables the system integrator to maximize performance for the channels with the greatest demand (e.g. left, center, and right channels). In bridged mode, the power for one channel increases to 800 W / channel at 8 ohms and over 1,000 W / channel at 4 ohms. **
