Clearaudio presents a new moving coil pickup with a body crafted from Panzerholz, opening a new chapter in material selection and sound optimization. This model is not only a technological pinnacle, but also a strong commitment to regional craftsmanship. In close collaboration with the elite violin makers from neighboring Bubenreuth, a manufacturing technique was developed that incorporates the knowledge and expertise of centuries of instrument-making tradition and elevates the pickup's design to a new level.

Panzerholz – The perfect material for low resonance and stability

Panzerholz is known for its low resonance and light weight, making it an ideal material for sophisticated pickup construction. Unlike conventional materials such as aluminum or plastic, Panzerholz offers natural damping that minimizes unwanted vibrations and ensures clean, unadulterated sound reproduction. The material's lightness allows for the high precision of the moving coil technology to be optimally utilized without unnecessarily increasing the overall weight of the pickup.

The body shape is reminiscent of the signature designs of the V2 series, but the unique material lends the pickup a distinctive touch and expands the technical possibilities of the moving coil construction. For four decades, Clearaudio has been developing and manufacturing cartridges and hi-fi components in Erlangen, Germany, renowned worldwide for their outstanding sound quality and precision.
