Originally released in 1978 and a two-time winner of the prestigious 'Design and Engineering Award' at the Chicago CES in 1978 and 1981, the new Dynavector 10X5 MKII MC cartridge sets a new benchmark for high output MC cartridge performance, without having to rely on a step-up amplifier or MC phono preamp.
Improvements
In addition to several exclusive Dynavector technologies, including Magnetic Flux Damping, Softened Magnetism (patent) and powerful neodymium magnets known for smooth high-frequency response, the Dynavector 10X5 MKII also features an improved needle assembly with the Nude Diamond 'Shibata III' Line -Contact needle and improved hardened cantilever material. These improvements ensure secure tracking capability in even the most demanding record grooves, enabling expanded high-frequency playback and increased music resolution.
The legendary Dynavector coil development technology using the finest quality wire has allowed the Dynavector 10X5 MKII's coil windings to be minutely increased and the internal resistance reduced to 150 ohms while still maintaining a healthy 2.8mV output.
The pickup system is attached to the tonearm using a sturdy red aluminum head block, which provides a secure platform for the pickup system and allows for easy and secure attachment to the tonearm.
