With the Giotto, Gold Note presents a high-quality moving coil (MC) cartridge designed for precise and detailed tracking. The combination of an ultra-micro-elliptical diamond stylus and a boron cantilever enables exceptionally accurate tracking of the record groove, laying the foundation for dynamic, finely detailed, and spatially precise sound reproduction.
Precise scanning
The finely honed ultra-micro-elliptical diamond stylus precisely follows even complex information in the record groove. The lightweight and rigid boron cantilever ensures a fast and controlled transfer of the tracking movements to the generator system.
With a frequency response of 10 Hz to 40 kHz, the Giotto is designed for wideband reproduction. Channel separation of more than 30 dB supports precise spatial imaging and clear differentiation of individual musical details.
MC Low Output for high-quality phono stages
As an MC Low Output, the Giotto delivers an output voltage of 0.35 mV and is therefore designed for high-quality MC phono preamps or corresponding MC inputs. The internal impedance is 8 ohms; Gold Note recommends a termination impedance of 100 ohms.
The stylus compliance of 12 × 10⁻⁶ cm/dyne allows for targeted combination with suitable tonearms and forms an important basis for the correct mechanical tuning of the cartridge.
