The boron-based diamond core offers high torsional rigidity, very low mass, and extreme hardness. The samarium-cobalt magnet, on the other hand, promises deep bass reproduction. Unwanted resonances are suppressed by the high rigidity of the cabinet, which is made of fiberglass-reinforced plastic. Despite this, the cabinet is lightweight, similar to the larger models in the series (MP-300 and 500).
