This Ortofon 2M Red pickup is an unused system without original packaging including fixing screws. It comes from a turntable bundle.
A modern MM system from Ortofon: Easy to install, can be used very universally on all good, medium-heavy tonearms.
The sound is exemplary neutral, but by no means sterile. On the contrary: this pickup is fun, plays beautifully dynamically and grippingly with an amazingly good spatial imaging. The scanning behavior is very good. The pickup harmonises with many tonearms that are not built too lightly. The system is mounted from above with two screws (standard mounting half inch), the housing has a threaded hole.
