McIntosh MP100 Phono-Amplifier

The MP 100 is the first dedicated phono preamplifier from McIntosh and was designed to enable both experienced record lovers and vinyl newcomers to achieve optimal playback performance and thus to rediscover their record collection.

Like all McIntosh products, the MP 100 is packed with features for the discerning vinyl fan. As there are moving coil and moving magnet inputs, each with six different capacities that can be selected as a special highlight. There are also balanced (XLR) and unbalanced analog outputs, as well as optical, coaxial and USB outputs on the digital side. As a special addition, there is a switch for setting mono records to minimize noise and play the mono signal correctly.

Analog / digital

There are numerous possibilities to integrate the MP 100 into an existing audio system, be it to use a dedicated phono preamplifier for the first time or to replace an older one. In conjunction with conversion software, the MP 100 can rip your favorite vinyl records to a computer via USB in order to generate high-quality digital files. The digital outputs are permanently set to 24-bit / 96 kHz in order to display the full dynamic range of a record in an optimized digital file.

With its very compact dimensions of only 7.5 cm high, the device fits seamlessly into the 29.2 cm slim chassis of the MXA 70 audio system. The MHA 150 headphone preamplifier and the brand new MB 50 streaming audio player are also connected with the MP 100 to form a uniform system in terms of size.
