LTA-710 tonearm
The quality of analog music playback is determined at the interface between the record and the cartridge. This is precisely where the Luxman LTA-710 comes in: a completely redesigned tonearm that combines the finest mechanical precision with musical naturalness. Its aim is to capture even the smallest details from the groove without loss and transmit them to the subsequent system with the utmost purity.
The result is an exceptionally stable, detailed and emotional reproduction that fully exploits the potential of high-quality cartridges.
Joint development with SAEC – concentrated expertise
The LTA-710 was developed in close collaboration between Luxman, with almost 100 years of experience in high-end audio manufacturing, and SAEC, one of Japan's most renowned tonearm specialists. This collaboration combines decades of expertise in mechanics, materials research, and sound tuning.
The tonearm is statically balanced, universally applicable and follows a classic S-shaped geometry, which ensures excellent tracking accuracy and balanced mass distribution.
High-precision knife bearing for maximum fine resolution
At the heart of the LTA-710 is its high-precision knife-edge bearing, which combines extremely low friction with exceptional stability. This design allows for the finest movements, even with minimal deflections, and ensures precise, low-distortion tracking – even in complex musical passages.
With an effective length of 10 inches (256 mm), the LTA-710 significantly reduces the tracking error angle compared to shorter tonearms.
The result:
- lower sampling distortion
- improved channel balance
- improved stability in the bass
- calmer, more precise soundstage
Flexibility for the highest demands
The LTA-710 offers comprehensive adjustment options for perfect adaptation to different cartridges and turntables:
- Finely adjustable tonearm height (VTA)
- Precise adjustment of the tracking force
- Antiskating regulation from 0 to 4 g
- Optimized effective mass for a wide range of pickups
The included headshell, made of milled aluminum, is equipped with extremely pure 7N-Class DUCC conductors (99.99998% copper) and guarantees lossless, sonically neutral signal transmission from the cartridge to the phono cable.
Seamless integration with Luxman turntables
The LTA-710 is particularly attractive for owners of selected Luxman turntables:
With the optional OPPD-AB7 tonearm base, the tonearm can easily be retrofitted to the PD-171A, PD-171AL and PD-191AL models.
Thanks to the included positioning gauge, precise mounting on turntables from other manufacturers is also easily possible.
