Luxman PD-191A Analog Belt-Drive Turntable

Analog perfection. Timeless enjoyment.

With the PD-191A, Luxman opens a new chapter in the high-end vinyl segment. A logical evolution of the legendary PD-171 series, this turntable combines uncompromising engineering with the emotional magic of analog music reproduction. For listeners who want to not just hear music, but experience it.

The PD-191A unfolds the full warmth, depth, and dynamics of your records – with an ease that makes time stand still. Every note, every nuance is reproduced with impressive composure, precision, and musicality.

Newly developed tonearm LTA-710 – maximum sensitivity

At the heart of the system is the 10-inch LTA-710 tonearm, developed in cooperation with the renowned tonearm specialist SAEC. The statically balanced design with knife-edge bearing offers exceptionally high initial sensitivity and effectively minimizes tracking error.

The result: even the finest information from the groove is sampled accurately and stably – musically, precisely and free from mechanical artifacts.

Precise belt drive with high-end motor control

A high-torque, brushless DC motor forms the basis for extremely quiet operation. Supported by a generously sized, fully regulated power supply and Luxman's sine wave PWM/PID control, the speed remains constant – regardless of load or temperature.

A highly stable reference clock with MEMS oscillator ensures precise speed and impressively confident playback.

Solid turntable platter – stability through moment of inertia

The 5.2 kg platter, milled from a solid block of aluminum, acts like a flywheel with enormous inertia. Combined with a high-precision bearing assembly made of stainless steel, PEEK axial bearings, and an oil-lubricated brass radial bearing, this results in exceptionally smooth and consistent operation – the perfect foundation for the highest sonic fidelity.

Design that makes technology visible

The PD-191A is not just an audiophile tool, but also a statement. The solid wood front with a rosewood finish, combined with a finely crafted aluminum surface, embodies classic Luxman design in a modern form.

Thanks to the low-mounted engine section, the chassis has a particularly low center of gravity – elegant, stable and functionally well-thought-out down to the last detail.

Thoughtful features for discerning vinyl lovers

  • Three speeds: 33, 45 and 78 RPM
  • LED strobe light with optimized readability
  • Highly effective vibration damping and adjustable insulator feet
  • High-quality aluminum headshell with DUCC conductors
  • Interchangeable tonearm bases for 9', 10' and optionally 12' tonearms
  • Gold-plated power connector for optimal power supply

Enter into a long-term musical relationship

The Luxman PD-191A is not a turntable for quick comparisons – it is an instrument for long-term musical relationships. Designed for connoisseurs who appreciate the highest precision yet seek emotional depth.

A turntable that doesn't interpret analog music, but respectfully reveals it.
