Neil Young's 42nd album is called WORLD RECORD and of course (as expected) answers the questions about life, the universe and everything else. On WORLD RECORD the old master doesn't really save our planet, but he has a few ideas on what to do about it .
ANGRY OLD WHITE MAN
With LOVE EARTH he opens the record full of hope. The declaration of love to this world comes with lyrics like 'We can bring the seasons back' and gives us hope. The line 'We were livin' in a dream' brings us back to earth. Insight is spreading. In the great play CHEVROLET, Young admits that he is partly to blame for climate change. He does not preach, but draws conclusions from his experiences. Along with Crazy Horse and producer Rick Rubin, he thankfully shares it with us. An angry old white man who cannot be silenced. Good this way.
