Metamaterial Absorption Technology: A Revolution in Sound Absorption

A key feature of the new Q Series is Metamaterial Absorption Technology (MAT™), a highly complex, labyrinthine structure that delivers impressive sound absorption performance. This technology absorbs 99% of unwanted sound emanating from the rear of the tweeter. This significantly reduces distortion and results in purer, more natural sound reproduction. MAT™ acts like an acoustic "black hole," absorbing unwanted frequencies and thus significantly improving sound performance. All eight models in the Q Series are equipped with 12th-generation Uni-Q drivers enhanced by MAT™ technology. The Uni-Q driver has been specifically redesigned to maximize the benefits of MAT™. The tweeter features a newly designed gap damper that efficiently suppresses resonances and improves clarity. A larger rear chamber opening in the tweeter—250% larger—allows for greater sound absorption, resulting in a significant reduction in distortion. All these innovations contribute to an impressive soundstage that clearly reproduces even the most subtle musical nuances.

A new 3-way system for improved sound quality

One of the key innovations of the Q Series is the expansion from a 2.5-way to a 3-way system. In this new configuration, the Uni-Q drivers handle the high and mid frequencies, while a newly developed bass driver is responsible for the low frequencies. This separation of frequency ranges results in even more precise sound reproduction. In particular, the reduction of diaphragm movement in the mid-frequency range allows the tweeter to transmit high-frequency sounds over a more stable surface.
