Cavity Radiation Control (CRC)

The latest patent pending technology developed by KEF's engineering team in the UK: Cavity Radiation Control (CRC) is a unique open midrange driver with an acoustically absorptive foam design that eliminates midrange issues, including frequency response dips of up to 30dB that occur in typical coaxial three-way designs. With CRC, the Ci250RRM-THX offers the highest acoustic realism in the midrange of any coaxial three-way speaker to date.

Low-diffraction LF aperture

The Ci250RRM-THX features a low-diffraction LF port, a carefully profiled, smoothed cabinet design with an outer, acoustically absorbing foam ring that reduces resonance and diffraction. The result is exceptional MF/HF performance coupled with tremendous bass power.

Uni-Q®

The Uni-Q technology is the cornerstone for the typical KEF sound. The remarkable 12th generation Uni-Q driver array developed for the Ci250RRM-THX acts as a single point source, spreading sound more evenly so everyone seated in different places in the room experiences the same natural, detailed sound can.

MAT™ Absorbs 99% of unwanted sound
The Ci250RRM-THX is the first architectural loudspeaker to benefit from our acoustic innovation: Metamaterial Absorption Technology (MAT™). MAT is a highly complex, maze-like structure that absorbs 99% of unwanted sound from the back of the tweeter, allowing for crisper, more natural high-frequency response.

Powerful high-fidelity sound

Part of KEF Architectural Speakers' Extreme Home Theater range, the Ci250RRM-THX has been engineered to deliver powerful, room-filling, high-fidelity sound for the most demanding music and film lovers.

With its 250mm (10") LF driver, the Ci250RRM-THX delivers deep, room-filling bass down to 28Hz. Combined with the 100mm Uni-Q driver array with MAT, the Ci250RRM-THX delivers a powerful, high-fidelity Sound with a maximum sound pressure level of 111 dB.

The Ci250RRM-THX offers extremely high performance with true cinema sound quality for large theaters and living rooms and is THX® Ultra certified. Every THX® Certified speaker system features a deep understanding of filmmaking and surround sound. THX® was engineered with the design cues of professional studio speakers to reproduce the tonal balance of the filmmaker's final mix in your home theater or living room. The result? Action sequences are impressive, and dialogue-driven moments feel natural and engaging.
Engineered for performance
The bespoke Ultra-Thin Bezel (UTB) provides a narrow visible border around the speaker and casts virtually no shadow. The paintable UTB and magnetic grille ensure the speaker blends seamlessly into the environment.

Ci250RRM-THX is splash-proof and dust-proof and certified to IP64. With a thoughtful mechanical design, the Ci250RRM-THX ensures easy installation with a minimum of fuss.
