Meze Ultra Cable – Reference headphone cable made of 7N pure silver

The Meze Ultra Cable was developed as an uncompromising signal connection for the flagship headphones Meze Empyrean, Empyrean II, Elite, and ARTA. By combining high-purity 7N silver, a flow-optimized braiding geometry, and precise handcrafting, this cable eliminates sound-degrading resistance and transmits the audio signal with unrestricted transparency and dynamics.

Signal integrity through 7N pure silver and symmetrical geometry

The material foundation is pure silver with a certified purity level of 99.99999% (7N). Silver has the lowest specific resistance among electrical conductors, which enables unadulterated and finely structured impulse response across the entire frequency range.

A total of 40 individual conductors, each with a precise diameter of 0.08 mm, form the core of the cable. These are arranged in a continuous 16:8 braid . This sophisticated geometry minimizes capacitive and inductive interactions between the strands, effectively reduces crosstalk, and reliably shields the signal against external electromagnetic interference. The result is an extremely clean signal with enhanced spatiality and precise detail resolution.

Manufactured in Baia Mare & Functional Design

Each Meze Ultra Cable is meticulously handcrafted to order in our own factory in Baia Mare, Romania. To guarantee the highest manufacturing quality and minimal tolerances, production is limited to one cable per day .

The physical design, penned by Meze product designer Szabolcs Ferenczi, is based on the Streamline Moderne design language. The housings of the connectors and the Y-splitter are made of a durable zinc alloy, finished with a robust PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) coating . The aerodynamic lines seamlessly integrate with the industrial design of Meze's reference models and ensure high mechanical durability for everyday use.

Adaptable connectivity & scope of delivery

On the headphone side, two locking 4-pin mini-XLR connectors ensure a secure and lossless connection with compatible Meze models. On the source side, various unbalanced (single-ended) and balanced connector options are available to guarantee optimal compatibility with high-quality headphone amplifiers and DACs.

The Ultra Cable comes in a custom-fit, robust hard-shell case . An included Alcantara cleaning cloth protects the PVD-coated surfaces and is used for gently cleaning the metal components.
