T+A also offers headphone cables with different plugs for the Solitaire P-SE. One of them is equipped with the 4.4mm Pentaconn connector (manufactured by NDICS). Due to the symmetrical wiring of the Pentaconn connector, the left and right channel connections are completely separate. The separate structure enables the best possible sound quality, since the interference between the channels is prevented, as can occur with jack plugs.
According to our research, the Pentaconn connector also offers the best contact properties compared to jack and XLR connectors. All contacts are hard gold plated and free of ferromagnetic materials. The HCSE 4.4 headphone cable is available in lengths of 3m and 5m.

Headphone cables differ fundamentally in their requirements from speaker cables. The latter are designed for high currents and voltages, while headphones, on the other hand, work with lower currents and voltages. In order to meet these requirements, a very high material quality and complex construction are necessary.
T+A headphone cables are made from pure OFC (oxygen free copper) as a base, the conductors are coated with pure silver. The impedance, capacitance and inductance are low, but above all linear and constant over the entire frequency range. The left and right channels are separate and each have two signal cables (symmetrical structure).
In order to avoid harmful electrostatic influences and charges, both are additionally covered with a silver-plated braided shield. The insulation consists of high-quality dielectric materials. On the headphone side, professional two-pin connectors (male and female) are used.
