The V2 retains the characteristic warmth and musicality of its predecessor, yet presents a more precise, neutral sound with greater spatial clarity and smoother tonal transitions.

Sound – controlled warmth, natural balance

The newly tuned 40mm dynamic drivers deliver a balanced sound spectrum:
powerful, disciplined bass, precise mids and open, airy highs.

An advanced matching process based on level and phase analysis ensures precise channel alignment and a stable stereo image. Improved acoustic sealing and an increased internal volume result in more controlled bass reproduction in the V2, while the redesigned baffle structure minimizes reflections and brings out high-frequency details more clearly.

The included acoustic absorber discs allow the sound signature to be flexibly adjusted – from neutral to warm – for different listening preferences and music genres.

Material & craftsmanship – each pair is unique

The iconic ear cups are made of solid walnut wood , which is individually CNC-milled, sanded, stained, and hand-polished in an elaborate 45-day process. Each ear cup displays a unique grain and color nuance – no two pairs are alike.

The spring steel frame and self-adjusting vegan leather headband offer lasting comfort, even during long listening sessions. The new clip-in ear pads with a precise six-point system guarantee a stable fit, increased durability, and easy replacement.

In accordance with Meze's sustainable design philosophy, the 99 Classics V2 is fully serviceable – all components, from the drivers to the cushions to the cables, are replaceable.

Technology for modern listeners

The double-twisted OFC cable with Kevlar sheathing ensures robust durability and clean signal transmission. The enlarged 3.5 mm jacks offer compatibility with a wide range of cable options, including Meze's hand-braided copper and silver upgrade cables.

Included in the package is a compact USB-C DAC/AMP , which allows the 99 Classics V2 to deliver full power even on modern smartphones and laptops without a headphone output.

Sound tuning:
