With the Statement series, Naim Audio reaches the absolute pinnacle of its technological and sonic achievements. Comprising the NAC S1 preamplifier and the NAP S1 mono power amplifiers, this system embodies the uncompromising ambition to make music tangible in its purest form – powerful, precise, and emotional all at once.
The development of the Statement series didn't begin with existing concepts, but with a radical idea: a complete new beginning. Based on highly complex 3D computer models, the engineers analyzed each individual component to determine its ideal position within the overall system. The result is an innovative, vertical architecture that reduces mechanical and electromagnetic interference to an absolute minimum while simultaneously ensuring optimal heat dissipation.
Architecture as the key to sound perfection
The meticulously designed construction of the Statement system physically separates interference-prone and sensitive areas. While the power supply – traditionally a potential source of interference – is housed in the lower section, the highly sensitive audio electronics are located in the upper segment. A solid acrylic element acts as an insulating barrier between them, preventing any interaction.
Within each individual enclosure, this principle continues: Separate chambers isolate the different amplifier stages from one another, ensuring maximum signal purity. This uncompromising separation forms the basis for the exceptional sonic performance of the Statement series.
Monoblock performance at reference level
The NAP S1 is a completely redesigned mono power amplifier that employs a bridged dual design without global feedback. This architecture enables exceptionally direct, unadulterated signal amplification. The voltage and current stages are physically separated – a further step towards minimizing interference and optimizing performance.
Inside each monoblock is a powerful 4000 VA transformer that delivers an impressive 746 watts of output power into 8 ohms. This enormous power reserve ensures not only superior control of even the most demanding loudspeakers, but also effortless, dynamic reproduction – regardless of volume or musical complexity.
Design as an expression of technical philosophy
The Statement series is not only a technical masterpiece, but also a visual statement. Its monolithic design combines clean lines with sculptural elements such as the striking heat sinks and the impressively integrated volume control. Illuminated details and the central partition structure lend the system an almost architectural presence.
This duality of precision and emotionality perfectly reflects what Naim stands for: technology in the service of music – developed with the highest engineering expertise, but always with the aim of creating a deeply moving listening experience.
