262710 Audionet DNP

Network-compatible 2.2 channel stereo preamplifier

There are things in life that are actually priceless. All the nicer when you can afford some of them. Like the exhilarating listening experience that the Audionet DNP will bring you. Incredibly emotional moments that recur with every piece of music. The Audionet DNP (Digital Network Preamplifier) is the universal link to the world of digitally stored music, the audiophile interface for bits and bytes. He doesn't know about compromises.

Regardless of whether it is stored on a computer, server, drive, stick, pod or pad or streamed from the Internet, wired or wireless, the Audionet DNP turns digital music data into a thrilling and incomparable listening experience, with the highest resolution and freedom from discolouration, strikingly coarse and fine-dynamic Precision and breathtaking room lighting, in all naturalness.

The Audionet DNP has a maximum of operating options. In addition to the Audionet system remote control, the Audionet DNP can be controlled with specially developed apps for pads and phones (Android and iOS). With an RS-232 interface, it can be easily integrated into house control systems. And the Audionet DNP is the very first preamplifier that can be completely controlled by a computer and fully integrated into a network. Special software enables all functions and settings to be set and operated using the mouse and keyboard.

The Audionet DNP has a maximum of setting options that place high-quality music playback on a new basis. To do this, we have improved our proven and praised digital filter technology again and integrated it into the Audionet DNP. It is the very first stereo preamplifier that has an extraordinarily powerful and precise delay, bass and equalizer management.

The balance is set time-coherently, up to two subwoofers can be connected and all parameters can be set separately. Room influences that reduce the sound or other tonal problems can be compensated. Each loudspeaker ensemble must be optimally configured and perfectly adapted to the spatial conditions. In connection with Audionet's intuitive analysis and correction software CARMA, the room conditions are recorded, analyzed and optimized with the computer and the correction settings are transmitted to the Audionet DNP. This means that almost professional results can be achieved even for laypeople.

The Audionet DNP has a maximum of features. It can receive Internet and FM radio, offers a USB audio and a digital Apple interface, can be equipped with a first-class phono preamplifier, can be integrated into any home theater with its bypass mode and has an excellent A / D Converter with which all analog sound sources can be digitized in high quality. The inputs can be freely named and different input levels can be adjusted. Connected via Audionet-Link, other Audionet devices can also be switched on remotely. A trigger output can control active speakers. And it has automatic line phase detection.

The Audionet DNP has a maximum of connection options. A total of 13 inputs are available for digital signals, from WLAN, LAN, USB and USB audio to S / PDIF, electrical and optical. There are 5 stereo inputs for analog signals, four of which are coaxial and one is symmetrical. In addition to two subwoofers, up to six power amplifiers can be controlled.

construction

In developing and realizing the DNP, we combined new, innovative design and circuit solutions with the proven findings of our digital and analog technology. We spared no effort and expense: Over 5,000 components ensure a maximum of the most accurate signal processing. The digital and analog sections as well as the associated power supplies are strictly separated from each other electrically and spatially and work autonomously.

The digital signal processing takes place with powerful signal processors and in-house software that has been developed and continuously improved over many years of work exclusively under audiophile aspects.

Equalizer, delay and bass manager

The double-precision bass management works with all sampling frequencies with 48-bit resolution. This means that even the lowest frequencies are displayed precisely and processed accurately. The bass manager has freely selectable cutoff frequencies and filter quality. Up to two subwoofers can be optimally integrated into the system and into the room. Alternatively, the subwoofer outputs can be used for a second listening zone with its own volume setting.

The digital parametric equalizer has five minimum phase equalizers (MPE) each for the main channels and subwoofer. For each MPE, filter types, frequency, gain and quality can be selected with a wide range of settings, and disruptive room influences and tonal impairments can be effectively compensated.

The delay manager has a setting range of up to 7 m and automatically calculates the delay times from the distances; the subwoofer phase can be freely selected.

Digital selection

With the D / A conversion, we paid great attention to eliminating jitter, the trembling of digital signal edges. Jitter errors limit the sound reproduction in every respect: the ability to reproduce, stage and depth representation are impaired. The conversion takes place with Audionet's intelligent sampling technology. It enables an absolutely honest recovery of the analog signal from the digital data stream. The data go through a complex, two-stage filtering and decoupling process. The input data is first filtered in a powerful signal processor and synchronously upsampled. The filters are designed by us from an audiophile point of view for the best possible impulse and frequency fidelity. The data optimized in this way is then resolved with an asynchronous upsampling process at 192kHz / 24bit. The data stream is completely decoupled from its input clock and the associated jitter. The data are then transferred to two high-performance converters, which are clocked with high precision by special precision crystals and processed into analog signals separately from channels. This process enables jitter artifacts in the analog signal to be almost completely eliminated. No information is lost and every information is processed at the right time. The digital section is supplied separately by a powerful power pack. The result is a maximum of clarity, depth graduation and stage illumination.

Circuit concept

There are no compromises with the Audionet DNP when it comes to analog signal processing. In extensive development and test work, the engineers at Audionet thought through and tested every detail anew.

The circuit concept and the structure are designed for maximum performance and the individual components are carefully selected. At every sound critical point, only the best parts or components are used, which we can procure worldwide and some of which have been specially made for us. For example, the filter capacitors are manufactured according to our specifications, we source a large part of our high audiograde electrolytic capacitors with a dielectric made of silk from Japan, we use capacitors made of mica (a conductive stone) that are made for us in China and India Selected high-current film capacitors with the lowest loss angle from Germany, use a high-quality silver / gold alloy for our internal wiring and use the best available connection systems from our colleagues at WBT in Essen.

Because nothing else meets our requirements, we manufacture the operational amplifiers for the DNP ourselves. Every Audionet operational amplifier is made up of more than 86 individual components and is characterized by a unique gain bandwidth product.

The signal routing and the ground routing of the Audionet DNP are consistently channel-separated. The volume is set with maximum accuracy using an electronically switched and real-time linearized precision resistor network. In order to optimize the high-frequency properties, the circuits are miniaturized, other signal paths are kept to a minimum. The circuit concept makes it possible that no passive - sound polluting - components such as coils, chokes or capacitors are in the signal path.

The analog section has a separate power supply unit with a 100 VA toroidal core transformer and 62,000 µF filter capacity and double stabilization from discrete and very fast voltage regulators. In addition, the voltages are locally filtered again at each operational amplifier with a total of 8,000 µF and smoothed with extremely fast voltage regulators.

The Audionet DNP defines what is technically feasible today. Noise, distortion and crosstalk are reduced to a minimum and ensure maximum energy, dynamics and sound purity.
