Tube line stage for musical naturalness

At the heart of the sonic concept is the integrated tube line stage. It lends the music reproduction an impressive sense of spaciousness, harmonious timbres, and natural musicality. Voices and instruments sound authentic, vibrant, and tangible, while the finest details are precisely rendered.

For particularly low-loss signal processing, AVM also relies on a completely redesigned analog and passive volume control. This ensures precise level adjustment across the entire control range and guarantees maximum transparency and sound purity even at low volumes.

S-DAC technology for highest digital precision

The newly developed S-DAC module, based on the renowned ESS 9038 PRO Double-Quad DAC, handles the digital signal processing. Four parallel converters per channel enable exceptionally precise and detailed reproduction of digital music signals.

The PAS 8.3 S processes high-resolution audio data up to DSD256 as well as PCM signals up to 32-bit/384 kHz. This allows modern hi-res recordings to be played back in their full quality. At the same time, the S-DAC module is also suitable as an upgrade solution for older AVM devices in the MP, CS, and SD series.

Streaming at the most modern level

Thanks to the integrated AVM X-Stream Engine®, the PAS 8.3 S offers comprehensive options for digital music playback. It supports numerous streaming services and transmission standards, including Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, Qobuz Connect, AirPlay 2, and Roon Ready.

Mobile devices can also be easily integrated via Bluetooth 5.0. Control is conveniently managed via the AVM RCX app, which provides quick access to streaming services, music libraries, and all device settings.

The support for numerous file formats such as FLAC, ALAC, WAV, AIFF, DSD or AAC ensures maximum flexibility in music playback.

High-quality phono preamplifier for vinyl lovers

AVM placed particular emphasis on analog music playback. The newly developed phono input stage supports both MM and MC cartridges and processes the signal entirely in the analog signal path.

This ensures that all the sonic information from the record is preserved. Playback impresses with high detail resolution, natural dynamics, and authentic timbre reproduction. All phono settings can be conveniently adjusted via the RCX app.

Versatile connectivity options

The PAS 8.3 S offers a comprehensive selection of analog and digital interfaces for modern and classic audio sources. In addition to LAN, WLAN, and Bluetooth, it features USB ports, optical and coaxial digital inputs, and analog connections.

An HDMI ARC input also allows for the convenient integration of a television into the hi-fi system. This allows you to enjoy movies, series, and TV programs with the sound quality of a high-quality stereo system.

In addition, the preamplifier has a powerful integrated headphone amplifier that can confidently drive even high-quality headphones.

Handcrafted quality from Germany

Like all devices in the current AVM Reference generation, the PAS 8.3 S is handcrafted in Malsch, Baden-Württemberg. Extensive quality controls and a multi-day break-in period ensure that each device meets the manufacturer's high quality standards.

The screwless, precision-engineered aluminum housing impresses with its high-quality workmanship and timelessly elegant design. With a width of 43 centimeters, the preamplifier integrates harmoniously into high-end hi-fi systems.

The PAS 8.3 S is available in silver, brushed black, and as an exclusive CELLINI Edition. The package includes the high-quality RC 5 remote control made of solid aluminum.
