Universal and future-proof

The Pro-Ject Pre Box RS Digital combines all the properties of the Pro-Ject DAC Box RS with an extremely linear preamplifier, which has a switchable output stage in transistor and tube technology. It is a high-end preamplifier, universal D/A converter and flexible headphone amplifier in one.

As in all digital products of its top class, Pro-Ject uses the PCM1792 DACs from Texas Instruments, which are used here twice in dual differential mode. As a unique feature, you can alternatively switch to a 384kHz/32-bit converter chip (also from Texas Instruments). The integrated high-quality headphone amplifier allows you to switch the output impedance for optimal matching to any headphone.

The Pre Box Digital RS offers three-dimensional spatial imaging, great fine dynamic reproduction and excellent resolution with the option of connecting a variety of digital and one analogue source. Especially in combination with the Pro-Ject CD Box RS drive, the Pre Box RS Digital can show its qualities, as an I²S interface (via RJ45) ensures maximum jitter-free playback. The separate high-end power supply unit Power Box RS Uni 1-way enables even better sound quality as an upgrade option.

Note : Bitstream formats such as Dolby Digital ® or DTS ® are not supported.
