Marantz CINEMA 70s Series 2 7.2 AV Receiver

The Marantz CINEMA 70s SERIES 2 offers the functionality and signal processing of a full-fledged AV receiver in a particularly compact slimline chassis. With a height of only about 11 centimeters, the unit is ideal for setups with limited space. Its seven integrated power amplifiers deliver 50 watts per channel (into 8 ohms) and support modern immersive audio formats such as Dolby Atmos and DTS:X.

Compact design with precise signal processing

Despite its compact dimensions, the CINEMA 70s SERIES 2 utilizes discrete power amplifiers. A redesigned 8-channel D/A converter with 32-bit resolution handles the digital-to-analog conversion, ensuring high detail resolution and an extended dynamic range. Fine-tuning of the sound was achieved by the Marantz Sound Master.

3D audio processing: Native decoding of Dolby Atmos, Dolby Atmos Height Virtualization, DTS:X, DTS Neural:X and DTS Virtual:X.

Room acoustic correction: Integrated Audyssey MultEQ XT for correcting room modes via the included measurement microphone. An upgrade to Dirac Live Room Correction is available as an option.

Flexible pre-out usage: A full 7.2-channel preamplifier output allows the connection of external power amplifiers or active speakers.

HDMI 2.1, 8K support and gaming features

The video section provides six rear HDMI inputs. Three of these inputs, as well as the main HDMI output, support 8K/60 Hz and 4K/120 Hz signals with a bandwidth of up to 40 Gbit/s.

HDR formats: Pass-through for Dolby Vision, HDR10+, HDR10, HLG and Dynamic HDR.

Gaming integration: Supports Variable Refresh Rate (VRR), Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM), Quick Frame Transport (QFT) and AMD FreeSync (inputs 4-6) to reduce input lag and screen tearing.

eARC connection: Lossless return of high-resolution audio formats directly from the television to the receiver.

Streaming interfaces and multiroom

The receiver integrates seamlessly into your home network via integrated HEOS multiroom technology. You gain direct access to services such as Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, Qobuz Connect, Amazon Music HD, and TuneIn internet radio. Apple AirPlay 2 and Bluetooth (including a send function to Bluetooth headphones with their own volume control) are available for wireless playback. The device is also Roon Ready certified.
