Marantz CINEMA 50 Series 2 9.4 AV Amplifier

The Marantz CINEMA 50 SERIES 2 is designed for centralized signal processing and amplification in demanding home theater, music, and gaming setups. Equipped with nine integrated power amplifiers, a signal capacity of up to 11.4 channels, and four independently adjustable subwoofer outputs, the unit delivers 110 watts per channel (into 8 ohms) for complex speaker configurations.

Discrete design and precise signal processing

The integrated power amplifiers are of discrete design and utilize Marantz's proprietary HDAM-SA2 (Hyper Dynamic Amplifier Module) technology in a current-feedback topology. This configuration ensures a high signal slew rate and controlled impulse response during dynamic transitions. The sonic tuning was performed by Marantz Sound Master, supported by an enhanced 32-bit D/A converter for precise digital audio conversion.

• Immersive audio formats: Native processing of Dolby Atmos, DTS, Auro-3D, IMAX Enhanced, 360 Reality Audio and MPEG-H.
• Flexible system architecture: Thanks to the full 11.4-channel preamplifier output, you can expand the system via external power amplifiers – for example, from a 5.1.4 or 7.1.2 setup to a 7.1.4 or 7.4.4 system.
• Bass adjustment: Four independent subwoofer connections allow for targeted room adjustment and the use of the directional subwoofer mode.

HDMI 2.1 with 8K support and gaming features

The video circuitry features six rear HDMI inputs, all supporting signals up to 8K/60 Hz and 4K/120 Hz with a bandwidth of up to 40 Gbps. The signal is routed to two main outputs and one independent Zone 2 HDMI output.

Room correction and network integration

Audyssey MultEQ XT32 is integrated as standard for adapting to room acoustics. The system measures levels, distances, and frequency responses using the included microphone. For more advanced corrections, paid upgrade options are available for Dirac Live Room Correction, Dirac Live Bass Control, and Dirac Live Active Room Treatment.

The integrated HEOS multiroom system serves as the streaming interface, enabling access to services such as Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, Qobuz Connect, and Amazon Music. Additionally, Apple AirPlay 2, Bluetooth (including transmission to Bluetooth headphones), and Roon Ready are available. The housing features a metal front panel, gold-plated connectors, and the Marantz OLED porthole.
