Marantz CINEMA 60 DAB Series 2 AV-Receiver

The Marantz CINEMA 60DAB SERIES 2 serves as the functional interface for classic and modern home cinema, music, and gaming systems. As a 7.2-channel AV receiver, the device delivers 100 watts of amplifier power per channel (at 8 ohms) and processes multi-channel signals for immersive audio formats such as Dolby Atmos and DTS:X.

Discrete power amplifier and converter architecture

Internally, the CINEMA 60DAB SERIES 2 utilizes discrete power amplifiers and Marantz's proprietary HDAM-SA2 (Hyper Dynamic Amplifier Module) technology in a current-feedback topology. This design ensures fast signal processing and precise impulse response. A redesigned 8-channel D/A converter with 32-bit resolution handles the digital-to-analog conversion, increasing the dynamic range and detail resolution of all sources.

3D audio processing: Native decoding of Dolby Atmos, Dolby Atmos Height Virtualization and DTS:X, as well as DTS Neural:X and DTS Virtual:X.

Acoustic room correction: Integrated Audyssey MultEQ XT for correcting room modes and frequency responses via a measurement microphone. An upgrade to Dirac Live is available as an option.

Integrated tuner: Reception of digital radio via the built-in DAB+/FM tuner.

HDMI 2.1, 8K support and video processing

The video circuitry features six rear HDMI inputs. Three of these inputs, as well as two main outputs, process 8K/60 Hz and 4K/120 Hz signals with a bandwidth of up to 40 Gbit/s.

HDR standards: Pass-through of Dolby Vision, HDR10+, HDR10, HLG and Dynamic HDR.

Gaming integration: Support for Variable Refresh Rate (VRR), Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM), Quick Frame Transport (QFT) and AMD FreeSync (inputs 4-6) to suppress input lag and screen tearing.

eARC functionality: Lossless audio return of high-resolution formats from the television to the receiver.

Network interfaces and multiroom

The integrated HEOS multiroom module allows integration into the home network and access to streaming services such as Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, Qobuz Connect, Amazon Music HD, and TuneIn Internet Radio. Apple AirPlay 2 and Bluetooth (including a send function to Bluetooth headphones with their own volume control) are available for wireless signal transmission. The device is also Roon Ready certified. Control options via IP, web, app, and IR connections enable integration into existing control systems.
