McIntosh-MHT300AC
The McIntosh MHT300 AC AV Receiver is an essential 7.2 (or 5.2.2) channel home theater powerhouse that will deepen your emotional connection to what you're watching!
With support for stunning 8K/60Hz and 4K/120Hz video resolutions, as well as the leading home theater surround sound audio formats such as Dolby® Atmos and DTS:X™, and an output of 120-150 watts, the MHT300 AC will fulfill all home theater dreams without exception .
Full power for all loudspeakers - always!
Don't be fooled by the high watt-per-channel performance figures found on many other AV receivers. Very often it is in the small print that these performance specifications only apply to the two front channels. This may still be fine for a stereo system, but in home cinema you need sufficient pressure on all channels!
With the MHT300 AC, the power specifications apply to all seven channels! That means each 4 ohm speaker gets 150 watts and each 8 ohm speaker gets 120 watts of heartbeat-boosting McIntosh power to bring all your favorite movies and videos to life. Every explosion, every car chase, every flight of a fighter jet or spaceship, every jubilation after a game-winning hit is reproduced with 120-150 watts of sound on each speaker. With the MHT300 AC, you no longer have to wonder if each speaker is getting the performance that's promised on the box.
Expandable for your needs
The MHT300 can also grow with your home theater as its individual amplifier modules can be customized in many configurations for a variety of speaker configurations. If one day your home theater goes beyond seven channels, additional external amplifiers can be connected to the MHT300 AC to power them from the four height channel outputs. An external amplifier such as the McIntosh MI254 AC 4 Channel Amplifier would be connected to these outputs to drive these additional speakers. This effectively makes the MHT300 a 7.2.4 channel AV receiver.
Dirac Live® room correction
With Dirac Live®, the MHT300 AC includes one of the best room correction systems on the AV market. Dirac Live is a state-of-the-art room acoustics solution that enables users to optimize their sound systems and reduce unwanted sound degradation such as loss of treble or boom (due to standing waves) caused by the listening room. Using dedicated audio circuitry, Dirac Live offers world-class spatial correction with time domain adjustment, as well as patented phase filter technology - something all other solutions lack. Dirac Live is still easy to use, with an intuitive interface and step-by-step instructions that allow for quick setup and robust personalization.
Integrated into basic stereo systems, through professional recording studios, to the world's most exclusive home theater rooms, the Dirac Live room correction solution has brought unparalleled sound quality to hundreds of thousands of enthusiastic users.
connection talent
The MHT300 has four HDMI inputs and one HDMI output. Each HDMI port is HDCP 2.3 compliant and supports 8K/60Hz and 4K/120Hz. All ports feature 40 Gbps bandwidth and are compatible with High Dynamic Range (HDR) formats such as Dolby Vision™, HDR10 and HLG, 4:4:4 color spacing, Rec. 2020 and 3D video pass-through.
The HDMI output features enhanced Audio Return Channel (eARC) functionality. eARC allows a compatible TV to send audio data to the AV receiver via the HDMI cable, eliminating the need for separate audio cables. eARC offers improved bandwidth, allowing higher audio formats such as DTS-HD Master Audio™, DTS:X®, Dolby TrueHD and Dolby Atmos to be sent over the HDMI cable, enabling the MHT300 AC to deliver the best possible sound quality. Two coaxial and two optical digital audio inputs let you connect additional audio devices, while two subwoofer outputs allow you to have as much powerful bass as you want in your home theater.
Seven high-quality 32-bit digital-to-analog converters (DACs) offer audiophile processing. Bass and treble controls are included to tailor the sound to your personal preferences. Sturdy 5-way speaker jacks connect your speaker cables tightly, so you don't have to worry about them loosening themselves over time.
Easy setup
Setup and configuration can be done very easily via a computer interface. To save time, your specialist dealer can pre-configure the MHT300 AC and then simply load these parameters during installation. The configuration file can be saved to a computer or USB stick in the same way. You can even experiment with different configurations to hear the best performance, knowing you can always go back to the original setup. The MHT300 AC can be controlled via the included remote control or it can be easily integrated into an existing home automation system using the RS232 control protocol.
Alternatively displayed as the focal point of a home theater for all, the MHT300 can be placed in hidden AV equipment shelves thanks to the included shelf mounting brackets.
Other features of the MHT300 AC:
Power Guard® signal overload technology that prevents speaker damage from uncontrolled power
Sentry Monitor™ short-circuit protection circuitry that shuts down the output stage at an unacceptable current level and automatically turns it back on when operating conditions return to normal
Power Control to automatically turn other connected McIntosh Components on and off
Eco-friendly signal sensitivity which turns off the device if no input signal has been detected for a certain period of time and - just as handy - the MHT300 AC automatically turns on when it detects a signal from your home theater
FM tuner for receiving radio broadcasts
The MHT300 AC AV Receiver incorporates many McIntosh design cues, including a black glass front panel, backlit McIntosh logo, rotary controls, and the familiar silver finisher form factor.
