The McIntosh MX200 AC is a powerful 11.2-channel A/V processor for demanding home theater installations, combining state-of-the-art video standards with audiophile-grade signal processing. On the video side, the MX200 AC supports 8K/60 Hz and 4K/120 Hz via its HDMI interfaces and processes current HDR formats such as Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and HLG. 4:4:4 chroma subsampling, Rec. 2020, and 3D passthrough ensure maximum image fidelity. High-resolution audio formats such as Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Atmos, and DTS-HD Master Audio can be transmitted losslessly from the TV to the processor via eARC.

Sonically, the MX200 AC utilizes seven high-quality 32-bit DACs and discrete balanced outputs for eleven channels. Two dedicated subwoofer outputs enable precise low-frequency integration. Dirac Live Room Correction (full bandwidth license included) provides one of the most powerful room correction solutions available, including time correction through patented filter technology. This ensures optimal adaptation of frequency response, impulse response, and bass integration to the listening room.

The diverse range of connections allows for the integration of numerous sources – from classic digital components to turntables via the moving magnet phono input. The uncluttered internal design with minimal point-to-point wiring ensures low noise levels; the phono stage is additionally shielded to protect sensitive signals from interference.

With its slim 2U height, the MX200 AC is suitable for both rack mounting and freestanding installation. RS232, IP control, and certifications for Control4 and Crestron Home enable seamless integration into sophisticated smart home environments. Visually, it follows the classic McIntosh design with a black glass front, illuminated logo, and aluminum accents.
