MP mono pickup
The world's first MP-type mono cartridge
Mono records are currently experiencing a comeback. Many old music classics are being reissued, and more and more people are rediscovering the special sound of mono recordings.
To experience this sound as authentically and powerfully as possible, we recommend using a special cartridge designed for playing mono records.
Most of today's mono cartridges are made for modern records and have a stylus tip of 0.6 to 0.7 mil.
MP mono pickup
Nagaoka's "MP-MONO" model is equipped with a 0.7-mil needle and was developed to reproduce the mono sound with exceptional clarity, detail, and vibrancy.
For an even more authentic listening experience, there's also a 1-mil replacement stylus . This was widely used in the 1940s and 1950s, when mono was the standard. It provides a particularly warm and powerful sound with rich mids and bass.
