A start to ascension

If you start small, you might eventually make it big. But those who start small at Blue Amp are already way ahead of others. Blue Amp creates its very own world of sound that is not accessible with any other phono stage - and that is why Rolf Becker has long been urged to develop a cheap entry-level phono stage in order to make the ticket into the blue amp cosmos a little more accessible.

The result is the Blue Amp model fughetta - the 'little fugue'. It is based on the model blue MK III and achieves exactly its fantastic measured values. A slightly adapted circuit concept, different power supply and slightly less high-quality and highly selected components than the model blue MK III result in a dynamically stirring sound that makes the model fughetta particularly attractive for fans of rock, pop and modern music styles.

Symmetry!

Like all Blue Amp phono preamplifiers, the fughetta model also works with a fully symmetrical circuit that does not require a ground reference. That's why Blue Amp's phono stages don't have a ground socket (anymore), and the phono cables don't need shielding. Even lengths of several meters are no problem.

Blue Amp offers fully-twisted phono cables for tonearms with 5-pin sockets (Blue Amp blue and red) or RCA/Cinch sockets (Blue Amp orange and yellow) that perfectly match its phono preamplifiers. If both devices to be connected have XLR sockets, the Blue Amp black is used. The Blue Amp phono cables come – of course – without potentially interference-inducing ground conductors/shields that compromise the weak phono signal. Measured by their tonal and practical advantages, the Blue Amp phono cables are more than worth the price.
