Mechanical interference? Virtually eliminated. Thanks to a magnetically mounted platter, intelligent motor control, and optical speed control, the 257 performs at a level that will delight even the most discerning listeners.

Core technology with subtlety

• Optical Speed Control (OSC): With 1600 resolution steps, the sensor detects deviations in less than a millisecond – and corrects them immediately.
• Dual motor with belt drive: Two high-torque 12V DC motors drive precise flywheels – for whisper-quiet rotation.
• Hybrid control unit: A 12-bit DAC generates highly accurate reference voltages, and the analog motor unit automatically compensates for friction and temperature fluctuations.
• Magnetic bearing technology: The polished ceramic axle with bronze lining guarantees almost frictionless running.
• 50 mm sandwich turntable: Technical plastic meets stainless steel – for stability, freedom from vibration and quiet sound.

The 257 is the first turntable in the new Reference Line design . Compact, minimalist, and elegant, it fits seamlessly into modern living spaces as well as sophisticated high-end systems.

Height-adjustable, with a central rotary switch and two buttons for the exact speed – the operation is as intuitive as the design is well thought out.

Modular and future-proof

An optional integrated phono module allows direct connection to line inputs. Alternatively, an external phono module or one of the Burmester amplifier modules can be used – for maximum flexibility in system design.
