With the A1, Pro-Ject is launching its first fully automatic record player. The A1 appeals to customers who are looking for maximum comfort when operating their vinyl turntable. Playing a record is child's play with this device: put the record on, press the start button -- done!
Easy as pie and incredibly fast to vinyl enjoyment
The control panel of the A1 is extremely clear and self-explanatory. Two switches and one lever handle all the necessary functions: start/stop, tone arm lift up/down, speed selection 33/45 rpm.
Installing the A1 couldn't be easier: unpack, set up, connect the phono, power and ground cables -- done! Time-consuming adjustment of the tonearm and cartridge is no longer necessary. The A1 comes ready to play out of the box. If the A1 is to be protected from dust, the supplied acrylic glass hood can be installed using the two hinges. Push in and you're done -- all without tools!
sound
In view of its low price, the A1 convinces in terms of sound across the board. He plays harmoniously, homogeneously and with a lot of musical feeling -- exactly what vinyl lovers want. A large number of carefully thought-out technical details are responsible for this.
Integrated phono amp
The phono preamplifier integrated into the frame of the A1 prepares the filigree audio signal in a manner befitting its status and the included Pro-Ject 'Connect it E' phono cable with gold-plated cinch plugs ensures trouble-free signal transport to the amplifier. If you prefer to use an external phono preamplifier -- for example a Pro-Ject Phono Box S2 -- simply switch off the A1's integrated phono preamplifier.
The A1 is fully in line with the long-standing Pro-Ject tradition -- bringing the best-sounding hi-fi equipment with high manufacturing quality at a moderate price to men and, of course, to women too.
