Compacted wood fibers provide sufficient mass, resonance inhibition and stability for the best possible mechanical scanning of each record. The pickup
A Pro-Ject Pick it PRO Balanced MM pickup is installed at the factory. This pickup is a real sensation: It is the first MM pickup ever that enables a balanced signal output. This means that you can use the Pick it pro Balanced to achieve a "True Balanced Connection" signal transmission. Normal MM pickups cannot be used symmetrically, as this would lead to a difference between the left and right channels.
True Balanced
The internal cabling, which is consistently separated according to signal and shielding, and the connection terminal with mini XLR socket enable a fully symmetrical connection according to the Pro-Ject True Balanced concept. With the X1 B, an MC model is no longer necessary for this! Only an optional symmetrical cable such as the Connect it Phono E or Connect it Phono S is necessary for truly symmetrical operation.
The X1 B is available in three different color variants; the luxurious black or white eight-layer high-gloss lacquer and in a premium walnut veneer.
Note: For balanced operation, an optional balanced cable is required.

Tonearm

- Headshell and tonearm tube are made from a single piece of carbon fiber/aluminium composite material
- The tonearm tube can be rotated after loosening a screw. This allows horizontal (azimuth) adjustment of the pickup despite the fixed headshell
- The tonearm base offers the possibility of adjusting the vertical tracking angle (VTA)
- Four hardened stainless steel tips mounted in sapphires form the inverted tonearm bearings
- Tonearm cable Pro-Ject Connect it Phono RCA-E (length approx. 123cm) included
