PLANAR 1 PLUS

Rega's audience favorite continues to benefit from the technology of the Planar 3. Its RB 110 tonearm has the same precision bearings as the RB 330.

The turntable bearing is also from the big brother: a brass bearing with optimized adjustment. The new EBLT belt is also used here for the first time. This offers greater running consistency.

If you want to get back into vinyl and want exceptional sound characteristics, you have come to the right place! The Rega Planar 1 Plus is available including a Rega Carbon MM cartridge in a worry-free package.

The new Planar is “only” an entry-level model, but the revision to the 2021 version has made it so good that you can immediately hear every improvement.

To sum up: The wealth of improvements and innovations put the Planar 1 Plus far above its competitors. In terms of price, it is certainly still an “entry-level record player”; in terms of sound performance, it is much better.

With the additional built-in preamplifier, the Planar 1 Plus can be connected directly to the high-level inputs of any system via RCA (cinch) or 3.5 mm jack cable. This means that you do not need to purchase an extra phono amplifier if your existing devices do not have a phono input.

This specially designed, high-quality MM phono unit is based on the multi-award-winning Fono Mini. For use in the Planar 1 Plus, its circuitry was optimized for the highest quality playback. To this end, the USB computer interface was omitted and the saved effort was invested in further improving an already excellent amplifier.

The Planar 1 Plus is therefore suitable for connection as a high-level source such as a CD player. A suitable cable is already included for this purpose. Installing a phono unit in the record player under the tonearm has undeniable advantages.

The carefully shielded tonearm cable is connected directly to the preamplifier, thus largely eliminating disruptive external influences.
