The elegant yet simple appearance of the Performance DC, with its clean lines, matches its excellent sound characteristics.
A newly developed DC motor with precision plain bearings and belt drive, in conjunction with a 40 mm thick polyoxymethylene (POM) platter resting on a Clearaudio ceramic magnetic bearing (CMB), creates optimal conditions for interference-free tracking of the record groove. For further resonance optimization, Clearaudio offers the Performance DC Wood turntable.

Clearaudio Clarify
If mechanical parts don't touch, there can be no friction. The Clarify tonearm is completely magnetically supported and therefore absolutely friction-free.
The Clarify achieves its maximum performance potential and richest sound when combined with the newly developed OVATION turntable and moving-coil cartridges. Furthermore, the Clarify is compatible with virtually all adjustable cartridges weighing between 2.5 and 19 grams.

Clearaudio Virtuoso V2
The moving magnet cartridges are measured, analyzed, and hand-selected multiple times across four levels. This process allows Clearaudio to achieve perfect homogeneity of the stereo channels and minimal phase and transient distortion. The result, with a linear frequency response and high output voltage, is a superlative audiophile sound – spacious, detailed, and rich in color, yet simultaneously homogeneous and profound; with bass that doesn't boom and treble that is completely free of harshness.
The models in the clearaudio MM-V2 series deliver impressive sound on all common tonearms.
Except for the concept MM V2, which is made of aluminum, the housing of all cartridges in this series is made of hand-polished ebony. This also results in record-breakingly low weights.

The Performance DC turntable with Clarify tonearm and Virtuoso V2 cartridge is delivered in its original box and is not ready to play. Before enjoying the music, the new owner will need to complete the following:
- tonearm mounting
- Pickup mounting
- Complete adjustment of the turntable
