The new wireless platform at the digital heart of the LS50 Wireless II ensures that no matter how you like to listen to your music, you can do so with minimal effort and in fantastic sound quality. The LS50 Wireless II gives you direct access to your favorite music services, including Spotify (via Spotify Connect), Tidal, Amazon Music, Qobuz, and Deezer.

New (connection) options

You can even listen to internet radio stations and catch up on the latest podcasts via the KEF Connect app. AirPlay 2 and Google Chromecast seamlessly connect your compatible Apple or Android device and are even Roon-enabled—ideal for streaming multi-room music throughout your home. Bluetooth further expands the options.

The HDMI, analog, optical, and coaxial inputs also provide wired connections for your TV, record player, CD player, and game console.

With Roon Ready certification, the LS50 Wireless II benefits from all the features of the Roon RAAT protocol, providing an exceptional digital music experience. Roon is an engaging way to browse, manage, and listen to music. Artist photos, credits, biographies, reviews, lyrics, tour dates, and composers are automatically found and then linked together to create a digital magazine that you can browse at your leisure. Roon is also a networked audio platform for multiple rooms and users, offering features like bit-accurate playback and signal path display.

Being Roon Ready means Roon automatically discovers and connects to the LS50 Wireless II, delivering bit-perfect audio without any further configuration required. Technical details

In terms of physical technology, the LS50 Wireless II takes the lead from KEF's passive LS50 Meta speakers. Metamaterial Absorption Technology1 (MAT), a truly revolutionary tool in KEF's acoustic arsenal, is a highly complex labyrinthine structure in which each of the intertwined channels efficiently absorbs a specific frequency. When combined, the channels act like an acoustic black hole, absorbing 99% of unwanted sound coming from the rear of the tweeter, eliminating the resulting distortion and enabling a purer, more natural sound.

LS50 Wireless II uses a 13 cm Uni-Q driver array with metamaterial absorption technology (MAT), which reduces 99% of the sound waves coming from the rear of the driver to achieve clean and pure sound

Music Integrity Engine

The performance of the LS50 Wireless II is powered by the bespoke KEF Music Integrity Engine, an innovative collection of custom digital signal processing algorithms optimized for the new Uni-Q with MAT driver array, enabling it to deliver perfectly tuned performance for better imaging and tighter, uncluttered sound.

Amplifier development

The LS50 Wireless II also offers plenty of power at your fingertips. Each tweeter benefits from being driven by a new 100W Class A/B amplifier, delivering smooth, incredibly detailed high-frequency reproduction. Dedicated 280W Class D amplifiers drive the midrange/bass drivers, ensuring a room-filling, balanced sound. Meticulous amplifier development was carried out in-house by KEF to maintain complete control over the quality of the delivered performance.

The LS50 Wireless II features two subwoofer outputs, one on each speaker, for even more power and bass enhancement. When paired with KEF's KUBE series or the KF92 subwoofer, music and movies become even more immersive.

The LS50 Wireless II is available in three matte finishes: Carbon Black, Titanium Grey, Mineral White and a Crimson Red special edition.

Matching feet

On the bottom of the LS50 Wireless II, each corner has a threaded insert that allows the speaker to be mounted on top of the new KEF S2 floor stands, which also feature integrated cable management and a sturdy column. The stands are color-coordinated to match your chosen LS50 Wireless II configuration.
