STRADA closed-back, dynamic headphones
With the STRADA, Meze Audio expands its portfolio with a closed-back dynamic headphone designed with a focus on tonal balance, effective passive isolation, and long-term wearing comfort. Developed and manufactured in Romania, the STRADA is aimed at discerning listeners seeking a high-quality closed-back solution without compromising on naturalness, detail, and spatial imaging.
Based on an advanced version of the proven LIRIC chassis, the design has been specifically optimized for the use of a dynamic driver and its weight has been reduced. The result is a closed-back headphone equally suitable for focused listening in private settings and for extended sessions in shared spaces.
Sound character and tuning
The STRADA features a controlled, balanced sound signature with even energy distribution across the entire frequency range. Instead of spectacular accents, Meze Audio focuses on natural, long-term listening with high precision.
Low frequencies : Tight, contoured and cleanly defined, with subtle emphasis in the sub-bass for substance and controlled pressure.
Midrange : Neutral and transparent, with authentic voice reproduction and clear instrument separation.
High frequencies : Finely resolved and cleanly extended, with restrained energy in the upper range for rich detail without fatigue.
Despite its closed design, the STRADA impresses with a structured, natural soundstage. Effective passive noise isolation creates a clearly defined listening space without making the sound feel constricted or artificially isolated.
Driver technology
At the heart of the STRADA is a 50mm dynamic driver, first used in the 109 PRO and specifically further developed for the requirements of a closed acoustic chamber. The driver's characteristic sound is retained, while control, damping, and impulse response have been optimized for the closed-back design.
Detailed design features:
- W-shaped membrane made of carbon fiber reinforced cellulose for high stiffness at low weight
- Semi-crystalline polymer torus, coated with beryllium using PVD technology to improve stability and dynamics
- Precise 45.5° groove structure for optimized control of membrane movement
- Stabilizing ring made of copper-zinc alloy to reduce micro-vibrations and distortions

- Four-layer, hand-applied lacquer for a uniform surface quality
- Softly padded headband with symmetrical cross arrangement for even pressure distribution and improved air circulation.
- Weighing only 330 g, the STRADA remains comfortable and balanced on the head even during long listening sessions.
