Analog finesse meets digital high technology
The STR preamplifier combines classic analog expertise with state-of-the-art digital processing. In addition to high-quality MM and MC phono inputs for vinyl enthusiasts, it offers a variety of digital interfaces – from coaxial and optical S/PDIF inputs to balanced AES/EBU connections.
An integrated high-end digital-to-analog converter enables the precise conversion of digital music data into analog signals. Thanks to upsampling technology, even lower-resolution sources are enhanced to up to 32-bit/192kHz to achieve maximum detail and clarity. The asynchronous USB audio input even supports high-resolution formats up to 32-bit/384kHz as well as DSD – ideal for demanding digital libraries.
Room correction and bass management at reference level
A true highlight is the integrated Anthem Room Correction (ARC™). This analyzes the acoustic properties of your listening room and adjusts the playback accordingly to minimize disruptive influences. The result is a significantly more precise and balanced sound image – regardless of room size or furnishings.
Additionally, the STR offers flexible bass management for up to two subwoofers, which can be configured in both mono and stereo modes. This allows for optimal integration of the low-frequency range into the overall system – whether in a pure stereo setup or in hybrid applications.
Ease of use and system integration
Despite its enormous range of functions, the STR preamplifier remains intuitive to use. A high-resolution graphical front display enables clear navigation and easy setup of all parameters.
For integration into complex systems, a variety of control options are available: In addition to the classic IR remote control, the device can also be controlled via Ethernet or RS-232 – ideal for custom-install environments and smart home solutions.
An analog direct mode also ensures that analog sources can be processed completely without digital interference if desired – for purist sound at the highest level.
