With the introduction of the Linear in 2004, Lehmannaudio raised the bar for headphone amplifier playback. The Drachenfels now represents a new generation of headphone amplifiers: Our entry-level champion boasts state-of-the-art technology and can be adapted to ever-changing needs thanks to its modular options. Sonically, the most striking feature is the incredible wealth of detail combined with absolute control. Even in the most intense musical passages, the structure remains clearly audible and every nuance distinct.
Analog? Digital? Drachenfels!
The modular design, featuring state-of-the-art components, offers long-term prospects for discerning, quality-conscious music lovers. Whether streaming via Wi-Fi or Ethernet, connecting Bluetooth sources or conventional digital players – thanks to readily available module boards, the Drachenfels has the perfect solution for all these requirements. Even when new digital standards emerge, a simple module and back panel replacement will allow for upgrades!
The Drachenfels features a practical 12 dB gain, which, thanks to the smoothly operating Blue Velvet ALPS potentiometer with its high tracking and extremely low-noise circuitry, eliminates the need for a gain switch. The front-mounted power switch reduces standby power consumption to an environmentally friendly 1 W. Its compact dimensions also offer versatile placement options. Use it as a headphone amplifier or preamplifier and experience the joy of immersive music enjoyment.
