Despite its minimalist exterior design, the Edge W houses sophisticated audio technology. To eliminate barriers between you and your music, we paid close attention to using the fewest possible components in the signal path. As a result, the Edge W faithfully reproduces the original recording with impressively detailed, three-dimensional sound, as well as striking presentation and focus.

Cambridge pioneered the use of toroidal transformers in amplifiers, which contributed to improved performance. With Edge, they take this a step further, employing oppositely symmetrical dual toroidal transformers. This eliminates electromagnetic interference while delivering outstanding power and consistent tone, regardless of volume.

Effortless performance without distortion.

A standard Class A amplifier wasn't efficient enough for the Edge W. Cambridge instead augmented a conventional Class AB amplifier with a bias voltage to reduce distortion to an inaudible level. This specific configuration also generates less heat, making the entire system significantly more powerful.
