A special feature of the AVM AS 8.3 S is its integrated tube line stage. It lends the music reproduction that characteristic warmth, spaciousness, and naturalness appreciated by many audiophiles. With an output power of 2 x 550 watts at 4 ohms or 2 x 250 watts at 8 ohms, the AS 8.3 S boasts exceptional power reserves. Even demanding loudspeakers can be effortlessly controlled and driven with high dynamics.

The powerful amplifier section ensures precise bass control, impressive dynamic range, and confident reproduction even at high volumes. At the same time, the amplifier operates with extremely low distortion and offers an excellent signal-to-noise ratio for clean and transparent sound reproduction.

Modern DAC module for high-resolution music

In the digital realm, AVM relies on the newly developed S-DAC module with the renowned ESS 9038 PRO DAC chip. The use of four parallel converters per channel achieves particularly precise and low-loss signal processing.

The AS 8.3 S supports high-resolution music formats up to DSD256 as well as PCM signals with up to 32 bits and 384 kHz. This allows both local music libraries and modern streaming services to be played back in the highest quality.

Extensive streaming features

The integrated AVM X-Stream Engine® connects the amplifier to the digital music world. It supports numerous streaming platforms and transmission standards, including Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, Qobuz Connect, AirPlay 2, and Roon Ready.

Furthermore, Bluetooth 5.0 enables wireless music playback from mobile devices. The AVM RCX app allows for convenient control and configuration of the amplifier. Its user-friendly interface provides quick access to music libraries, streaming services, and device settings.

With AVM RoomConneXion®, the AS 8.3 S can also be integrated into a multiroom system, enabling synchronous music playback in multiple rooms.

Vinyl and digital sources perfectly integrated

In addition to its extensive streaming capabilities, the amplifier also offers excellent conditions for analog music playback. The integrated phono preamplifier supports both MM and MC cartridges and processes the signal entirely within the analog signal path. This ensures that the sound quality of vinyl records is preserved to the best possible extent.

For modern entertainment systems, an HDMI-ARC input is also available. This allows for easy integration of the television, while volume control is conveniently handled via the TV remote.

The features are complemented by numerous analog and digital inputs and outputs, as well as a high-quality headphone amplifier for demanding headphones.

The AVM AS 8.3 S is handcrafted in Malsch, Baden-Württemberg, and undergoes extensive quality controls as well as a multi-day break-in period. The screwless, precision-engineered aluminum housing impresses with its high-quality workmanship and timelessly elegant design.

With its 43-centimeter width, the amplifier blends harmoniously into high-quality hi-fi systems. The model is available in silver, brushed black, and as an exclusive CELLINI Edition.

Included in the package is the high-quality RC 5 remote control made entirely of aluminum. AVM provides a two-year manufacturer's warranty, which can be extended to a total of four years after online registration.
