McIntosh MA5300 AC Integrated Amplifier
McIntosh MA5300 AC Integrated Amplifier
Complete amplifier solution with integrated state-of-the-art converter
The MA5300 AC Integrated Amplifier is McIntosh proof that big sound can be made available in a small space. The smallest integrated amplifier in terms of power output and physical size, it's an ideal choice for smaller spaces, or for someone just starting to immerse themselves in the McIntosh sonic world.
The MA5300 AC is a 'directly coupled' amplifier that delivers 100 watts per channel McPower into 8 ohm or 160 watts into 4 ohm speakers. New dual scaled VU meters provide an accurate indication of output power for 4 and 8 ohm impedances. Like its integrated amplifier brothers, which have also just come onto the market, it carries the very effective 'McIntosh Monogrammed Heatsinks™' with the molded Mc logo.
To ensure that the MA5300 AC can also work seamlessly with the ever-changing digital audio world, all digital inputs are housed in the new DA1 digital audio module. The DA1 can be replaced with future modules to keep the MA5300 AC updated with the latest digital audio formats and component technologies. It features an 8-channel, 32-bit DAC in quad-balanced mode and provides six digital inputs. The USB input accepts signals up to 32-bit/384kHz and supports DSD256 and DXD 384kHz. In addition, there are six analog stereo inputs (1x balanced and 4x unbalanced) and a vinyl input for MM cartridges. Compared to its predecessor, the MA5300 AC has new, powerful microprocessors for trouble-free system operation, as well as the latest sound-relevant electronics on the semiconductor market, which enable the MA5300 AC to deliver its excellent sound.
With its - at 8 ohms - up to 160 watts of McPower per channel, it is powerful enough to operate the most diverse loudspeakers in terms of sound accuracy and extremely dynamically.
Other McIntosh features in the MA5300 AC include:
Power Guard®?
Monitors signal levels at the speed of light and adjusts as necessary to ensure high levels of distortion and clipping do not cause speaker damage.
Sentry Monitor™
McIntosh's short circuit protection circuit which shuts off the power amp before current exceeds regular operating levels and automatically resets when operating conditions return to normal.
Home Theater PassThru , which allows seamless integration into a home theater system. This turns the MA5300 AC into a pure power amplifier, the volume of which is controlled by the AV processor or AV receiver.
High Drive headphone amplifier with Crossfeed Director (HXD® ), which can give the headphones an additional sound dimension.
Corrosion-resistant, gold- plated speaker terminals ensure a high-quality signal is always sent to the speakers
The MA5300 AC also shows the timeless McIntosh aesthetics, with blue illuminated VU meters, black glass front panel, and the noble matt aluminum end strips.
