The McIntosh MC152 Stereo Amplifier delivers 150 watts of power on two channels into 2, 4 or 8 ohms. Both balanced and unbalanced inputs are provided for connecting your preamp. The MC152 is currently McIntosh's smallest solid state stereo amplifier in terms of power output and is perfect for smaller systems where higher power output is not required or for home theaters to power the surround channels.
With its space-saving design and slim 6-inch housing, it finds a place where larger models take up too much space. It may be smaller than other McIntosh amplifiers, but it's packed full of the technology McIntosh is known for and built to the same exacting standards as all McIntosh amplifiers. McIntosh Output Autoformer ensures each speaker gets full power regardless of its impedance, while Power Guard circuitry prevents clipping that could damage your speakers.
The speaker binding posts ensure a secure connection to your speaker cables.
Completing the MC152 is the classic black McIntosh glass front panel, silver end caps and a pair of large, easy to read blue wattage meters that are recognized worldwide as a symbol of quality audio.
