The CI-PA4-60 delivers 4 x 60 watts or 2 x 120 watts of power—automatically adjusted via innovative Dynamic Load Management. DirectDigital™ technology – digital precision in an analog context

The CI-PA4-60's DirectDigital™ architecture is derived directly from the legendary NAD Masters Series. It keeps the audio signal in the digital domain for as long as possible, drastically reducing conversion loss and distortion. The result: clear, transparent sound with exceptional detail—regardless of speaker impedance or cable length.

Compact design, sophisticated cooling

At just 44 mm high and one-third the width of a typical rack, the CI-PA4-60 is a true space saver. Its thermostatically controlled front-to-back cooling allows up to three units to be stacked directly on top of each other in a rack without overheating or loss of performance.

The mechanical locking system between multiple modules creates a stable, vibration-free unit, perfect for dense installations. This design meets the highest standards of durability and thermal efficiency—ideal for 24/7 operation in professional multi-room or AV setups.

Dynamic Load Management – Adaptive intelligence for every setup

The innovative Dynamic Load Management technology automatically detects how many speakers are connected and optimizes power output in real time.

If all four outputs are occupied, the CI-PA4-60 delivers 4 x 60 watts. If only two channels are used, the system automatically switches to bridge mode and increases the power to 2 x 120 watts – without any manual configuration.

This automatic adjustment prevents incorrect cabling, optimizes energy efficiency, and guarantees consistent dynamics – even during longer runtimes or high utilization.

Flexible signal management and cascading

The CI-PA4-60 offers a variety of professional control and connection options.

The inputs can be individually configured using DIP switches on the front panel:

• Global/Local switch for central or separate signal distribution
• Stereo/mono switching for each input pair

The integrated loop-through RCA outputs allow multiple CI-PA4-60 modules to be cascaded—up to 12 channels in a single 1U rack unit. This allows for easy expansion of the amplifier's power without the need for additional signal conversion. The analog loop-through preserves signal purity and significantly reduces installation effort.

Modular integration – part of the NAD CI Modular Series

The CI-PA4-60 is part of the new NAD CI Modular Series, first unveiled at ISE 2025 in Barcelona. Together with the CI S1 BluOS Streaming Module and the CI SA2-120 streaming amplifier, it forms a harmonious, scalable ecosystem for demanding custom installation projects.

Its 4-pin Phoenix connectors with snap-on locking system simplify installation and guarantee durable, vibration-free connections – without the need for special tools. This saves time during installation and ensures long-term operational reliability.

Versatile mounting options

The CI-PA4-60 can be mounted flexibly –

• in the rack (supplied rack ears),
• on the wall (integrated keyhole brackets) or
• freestanding (rubber feet included).
