NAD is known for excellent and innovative record players. And even if the basic functionality of a record player seems quite simple at first, it still takes a lot of know-how and experience to really get all of the musical information out of the groove.
Electronic speed control
The exact playback speed is extremely important for a very good record player. A special, high-precision synchronous motor is used for the C 588 to avoid audible fluctuations in synchronism, which runs perfectly smoothly and evenly. A stable supply of alternating current is the basis for the smoothest possible running. To ensure this, the mains voltage for the C 588 is first transferred to DC voltage, which is then converted into AC voltage for the motor. A specially designed belt to drive the plate isolates and filters other vibrations to a minimum. All moving parts are made of aluminum alloys with the lowest tolerances in production in order to avoid vibrations or inequalities in the drive system.
