AS-55 – High-resolution speaker switch
The Luxman AS-55 allows for elegant and precise switching between up to three pairs of speakers without compromising the sonic integrity of your hi-fi system. Luxman's goal in developing the AS-55 was to transmit every nuance of the music without distortion. To prevent interference from conductor loops, the switch features a separate switching circuit for each ground wire, minimizing hum and noise. The signal paths are equipped with high-purity, gold-plated terminals, which, together with the discrete wiring, ensure pristine transmission from high frequencies to low frequencies.
For internal wiring, Luxman uses 6N copper (99.99997% purity), which maximizes conductivity and optimizes the dynamic transmission of music signals. This precision ensures that even subtle details in instruments, voices, and spatial imaging are preserved.
Furthermore, usability has been improved: The AS-55 features a clear index area that makes switching between speaker pairs intuitive and convenient – a small but crucial detail for everyday use.
