The WXA-50 and WXC-50 use a proprietary power/ground configuration called 'DAC on Pure Ground'. It ensures excellent sound quality from high-end AV amplifiers and eliminates any loss of quality due to the power supply.
Conventional digital volume controls compromise quality because they use only a few bits. That's why Yamaha uses high-precision 48-bit volume control. This is more than the resolution of the input signal, ensuring sound quality similar to high-quality analog controls.

The WXA-50 consumes less than two watts in standby mode. When switched on, the WXA-50 consumes only 15 watts of power. Even with long periods of use, it is environmentally friendly.
In addition, the 'Auto Power Down' function saves power by automatically switching off the device after 2, 4, 8 or 12 hours.
