A task – fulfilled with perfection

The CXC was designed to read the digital audio information on CDs with absolute accuracy and consistency. Then it passes the signal to a DAC, like the DacMagic 200M or the high quality DACs in the CX amps. Every component in the CXC is designed to perform this task with precision.

Accurate playback

Cambridge Audio originally developed the drive in the CXC for the high-end CD players. The renowned S3 Servo is not a multi-purpose drive. It spins audio CDs at exactly the speed needed for data retrieval, giving the CXC award-winning sonic precision and stability.

The outside makes the difference

The CXC benefits from an acoustically dampened metal housing. It ensures that external forces do not disturb the digital signal. The CXC has a choice of S/PDIF digital outputs - one coaxial and one optical. Choose the one that best suits your DAC, be it a standalone unit or one integrated into an amplifier.

Optimal control

The CXC comes with a remote control. The CX Series remote controls can control all CX components, so you only need one device to hand for the most important commands. Alternatively, the controls on the front of the CXC can also be used.
